The jersey that trains the brain

One jersey. Two identities. One goal: sharper players.

Percept Shirts turns a sports jersey into a cognitive training tool. Color and logo shape form two independent teams on the same jersey, switched live by the coach — while a called-out number keeps every player's substitution rotation running, training sharper decisions at every practice.

The concept

Two identities. One player.

Every Percept Shirt carries two independent ways to form teams: a color and a logo. The coach decides live which one counts, and switches without anyone changing jerseys. Numbers aren't printed on the shirt at all — within whichever team is active, the coach calls them out live to run that team's substitution rotation, so every player always knows when they're up.

Color

Pink, Turquoise, Yellow. Three evenly sized teams, visible from across the field, with no extra gear.

Logo

Square, lines, or round, printed on the chest. A second team split, independent of color.

1 → 4

Number

Not printed on the shirt. Within the active team — color or logo — the coach calls 1 to 4 live to run the substitution rotation.

The science behind the jersey

What executive functions have to do with sport

Executive functions are the brain skills that let you adapt in real time: switch plans, resist a habit, hold information under pressure. Those are exactly the skills that make the difference on a field, the instant the situation changes.

Cognitive flexibility

Switching target, partner, or role the moment the criterion changes — without slowing the game down.

Working memory

Holding a score, an instruction, or a position in mind, with no scoreboard.

Inhibition

Resisting the urge to pass to an opponent of your own color instead of a teammate with the matching logo.

Sustained attention

Staying ready to act, even while waiting your turn.

Built for your PE program

Basketball, football, FooBaSKILL — one set of jerseys, not three

Percept Shirts aren't a single-sport accessory you buy once and leave in a bag. They're multifunctional training material: the same jerseys move with you from a basketball drill to a football drill to a FooBaSKILL session, so you're not buying separate pinnies for every activity. You change the active criterion, not the equipment — and every switch keeps training executive function.

Resources for coaches

Drill sheets, published regularly

Every jersey comes with ready-to-run drills designed to use color, logo, and the substitution number together.
